Have to admit, Eclipse is growing on me...

I really disliked it at first, but it's definately starting to grow on me. It's cool to have something a bit different and the guitar work is great.
Vocally/lyrically they're definately missing a second songwriter (in addition to Cain) though...Arnel just isn't going to be able to contribute what Perry or Augeri did in that regard. Some of the lyrics are inexcusably bad, and the songs lack that "Journey" melodic hook.
I still like Arrival better, but probably would put this ahead of anything else post-Perry.

I had to listen to it a few times, but I always have to do that with new albums. Plus, headphones always make a difference too. It's a great album.

Album is great. Only complaint is that COH is a weak opener, tho the solo at the end kills. "Someone" and "Ritual" could easily be mistaken for Arrival cuts or Jack Blade co-writes. Wish the first track was something anthemic and huge like that.

I look forward to Eclipse everytime I pop in the CD. There's just something about it that even though I'm getting a better feel, I still feel it to be the very first time I've heard the album. It just has that effect that I can' wait to hear something new on the next track that I've possibly never heard before. Still very, very, very fresh.

I was pretty much over Revelation by this same point in time. I look forward to rocking Eclipse still.

That's because Revelation blew out your eardrums and you don't know any better now.
