Thank you ...totally agree w/this!!wednesday's child wrote:Wech's Review of Eclipse : a biased Filipino's point of view
7. She's A Mystery
A virtuoso folksong, and arguably the best track on the album.
No one smothers anyone else's performance here, vocally or instrumentally.
Valory's basswork alternates between respectful restraint and confident
assertion at all the right moments. The song's shift to its harder second
half is almost effortless, with Cain's noodling an appropriate marker before
the plunge. When Pineda keeps pace with the others', expanding the play of
his notes, he losesnone of his connection to the song's lyrics.
Bravo, Journey.

Eclipse is an 80 tops...on a good day.
2 great songs, potential classics
2 good to very good songs
2-3 decent songs, nothing special. Standard Journey.
The rest is blah.
The best I can say is probably none of the songs suck.
I thought I was going to get a real heavy or dark album, "Journey with combat boots" if you will. I had high expectations and felt a little let down. I feel for the first time in my 20+ year career as a Journey fan, I may have been lied to.

It falls in the decent category...but it does have flaws. It could have been better.

I'm pretty sure Reveleation sold over 30,000 copies there, what's the score with this one?

That's why the Rips of the world are buying 30 copies each.

Pac not happy?
Just wait 'til I forward him a copy of ECLIPSE.

Just wait 'til I forward him a copy of ECLIPSE.
Is that the one with the hidden bonus track "Sometimes When We Touch"?
