Now THIS is melodic rock

Journey's increasing struggles to find a melody and a chorus notwithstanding, they could take a lesson on how to write and record some serious, ass kicking melodic AOR like Loverboy:

I just can't get into Eclipse. I've listened to the whole bloody thing ten times and I just don't get it. Some moments of brilliance, to be sure, but, come on!

Maybe you put Eclispe in upside down?

This doesn't seem like something for the guys to emulate. Sounds dated. And Mike Reno's voice has seen better days.

Sounds pretty good to me. Not quite as good as Just Getting Started, but certainly sticking true to the Loverboy sound. And, I think Mike Reno's voice is in fine shape.

Love the last Loverboy album, this new track is decent too, but it's got nothing on Eclipse. Reno can still bring it, but it sounds like he is holding back here.

Agree here. OK tune, nothing special. Enjoy the majority of the tunes on Eclipse much more. This sounded like something Bon Jovi would do to my ears.

I didn't care for it (as mentioned above).... but, I saw Loverboy open for Journey in San Francisco in 1981 (my first concert). That was a smokin' concert, what a great opening act at the time!
