1 - Deficits don't matter in a country that has a sovereign currency. And a surplus simply means we were being overtaxed. And debt was still there anyway. Debt and deficit are 2 different things. Our National debt was 5.9Trillion when Clinton left, 9.9trillion when W left and is 14trillion now. It wasn't 0 or + when Clinton left office.

2 - Fact, Al Queda grew in strength all during the 90's on Clinton's watch...and attacked us 4 times, including the WTC in '93 and the USS Cole in 2000. Partisan bickering combined with a short transition time after the election fiasco led to dropped communication on both sides I fear. I tip my hat for a smooth transition from W to Obama - both men stepped up so that didn't happen again. Say whatever BS you want, but Pre-911 it would have been very difficult to change the culture of our society based on vague warnings about flying planes into buildings. I can just imagine your rant in August 2000 if W locked down airports based on those warnings. It hasn't happened again with W's terror war strategy.

3 - 17 UN resolutions. Dictator is gone. Iraq is free. We have a permanent base next to Iran. Gaddafi was scared into giving up his WMD program (Thank God with what's going on now). Al Queda was drawn into Iraq and defeated. I'm not arguing Iraq was worth it...that is for vets and history to decide...but I reject it was a lie or nothing good came of it.
