My Parents Just Made My Week - UPDATE

So for my graduation/18th birthday present, I go through the bag and find the Clint Eastwood "35 Years, 35 Films" box set and a 3 pack of Journey albums (Departure, Escape, and Frontiers) I opened it up, complaining that I "ALREADY HAVE THESE ALBUMS, MOM!" and inside 2 of the cardboard album sheaths is one Ticketmaster pass to the show in Toronto. Needless to say, I was between shitting myself and having an asplosion in my pants... I pretty much laughed maniacally all the way down the hall. The best thing is they got an extra one so I could bring a friend. Torn between taking either my guitarist (who is a bigger fan of Journey and Neal Schon because of me, probably, he's gained that same soul and improvisation skill that Neal has) or one of my best ladyfriends whom I haven't seen in almost a year (who is, again, a female).
So yeah, I'm pretty excited that I get to see my idols, and in half decent seats. My parents along with my Grandma and 2 aunts are going along, and they all got higher sections, so just me and whoever I take get the decent seats which is a drag but it cuts down costs.
So yea, I'm stoked. Anyone else on the boards going to the TO show?

Take the female for obvious sexual reasons.

She's taken.
But... perhaps Open Arms can set the mood for later and give me some leeway to change...

Switching teams mid-game is always tough, bro'......

Then you're in an ethical conundrum. You can't be that jerk who takes another guy's girlfriend to a concert... on the other hand, you
can be that jerk who "adjusts" her "relational circumstances" to his benefit
before the concert.

Well, 'Edge of the Moment' is much more sexually appropriate so....

She actually
ASKED me to take her once I let it be known I had an extra ticket.
Before the concert... hmm it may be doable, because she totally has/had a thing for my ugly mug. I don't know what it is anymore since it's been a long time...

Come to think of it, EotM is... along with Resonate.
Resonate did make me think of her upon first listen, just because she moved miles away and was a conquest that didn't pan out back in the day... One of my best friends, really.

Whoops, i messed up on Gideon's quote... my bad. it looks like a part I added was something he said...

That part... for sake of confusion....

I'll be sure to perform a lust ritual the night before.

See, I knew Eclipse would be classic. Teenagers going to a Journey concert. The album has great boom-boom music on it! It got me laid.

Fuck the boyfriend. Invite her, get her drunk and take her from behind when the J-boyz play start with Open Arms. Chicks love that song.

Close, but I'm not sure that's quite where he's trying to direct the fucking.

This is definitely not the impression I get of French romance, but I like it!

We're still talking about the concert, right?
Sounds like you've skipped a few unnecessary steps.

Congrats!

I too got tickets to see Journey live on this tour as my graduation present (Class of 11 FTW!

) '
That said, I'll be seeing the band live at Raleigh, NC, not Canada.
And g'luck with the girl!

Hey congrats to you too man!
In all honesty I probably won't take her, just because of the distance between our towns and how far Toronto is from both. It made for some pretty fun banter here though. Doesn't mean I won't take
a girl with me, but we'll see.

Well, here's a update for you fine people...
I just took my ladyfriend to the Meat Loaf concert last night. Let's just say it was definite incentive to bring her with me to the Journey show in Toronto.

What an awesome gift! And that by itself would be very cool but the fact that your mom AND Grandma are going too is just off the hook cool! 3 generations of fans attending a Journey gig together. There's a lot to be said for that!
Congrats!
Oh yeah... regarding your "dilemma" of who to take to the show... I think you're forgetting the first rule of being a man: Bro's before Ho's!!
