Greatest Hits made a huge jump on the Billboard charts

Postby ebake02 » Sat Jun 25, 2011 1:35 am

It jumped from #101 last week to #18 this week. Eclipse is still hanging on at #92. If it could hang in there a little longer it will surpass Revelation for the length of time on the Top 200 charts.

Length of time is deceptive here.
Eclipse hasn't even sold 45,000 copies yet, where as Revelation was over 300,000 at this point.

That's pretty remarkable! A lot of it stemmed from the iTunes $6.99 sale.

Journey is that band that covered that Glee song, right?

It was re-certified in 2008 at 15X Platinum. I think it's around 15.6 million right now, so still a ways to go for the next one and even then only if Sony feels like actually doing it. It's their call, not the band's.
