I was going through some of the cds I've ripped over the years and I found 2 versions Winds of Freedom. The one version is with JSS, while the other one I'm not sure. Did Journey record the song with Arnel or Jeremy, did Jeremy record it by himself?

Part of Jeremey's audition. I think he re-wrote some of the lyrics as well.

It's actually not a bad song. Not something that I'd die if I never heard, but not terribly bad either.

I like JSS's version more , but i think it's more elaborated , Jeremey's sounds more demo-ish..

There is no comparison between the two- they both blow, but JSS' annihilated Jeremeys version. Jeremey went to the nasally Perry card to finish his out and sounds like a couple pigs sucking lemonade out of each others' assholes with bazookas. Wasn't pretty. Jeff's was audible at least. Think the idea was Neal taking over again  and Cain blessing it over some blessed crackers. The song sucked, and always. Cain took a dick in his ass on this one for sure.....then tried to get Jeff to somehow save it as show-worthy. Sounded like some puffy shit Stars and stripes Survivor would play- gay.

I wouldn't go so far as you did regarding Jeremey's version ( ), but I did enjoy Jeff's more. I think Jeff has an ability to 'tell a story' that perhaps Jeremey doesn't have, which is probably what makes him so good with the TSO gig. I think Jeremey is awesome, but Jeff polished that turd a little better than J did, IMO.

Just remember that when you polish a turd, all you are left with is a shiny turd and sh*t all over your hands.

The song was only written/recorded for a one time event. Not to be the next Don't Stop Believing.

Couldn't agree more except the Cain taking it in the ass part. Are you channeling Stevew2?
