Just to recap: Journey continues to put out new albums (one of which went platinum in an era in which CD sales are at an abysmal low, 20 years after their heyday), tours with original members and an iconic member who helped elevate the band to superstardom, etc. These are not the marks of a tribute act.
Ironically, Perry fits the bill of a Journey tribute act more than anyone else bar Augeri.![]()

Giddy ~
I will never see what you see...won't happen.
Yes Journey put out a new CD...and well you can check another thread to see how that is going.
Journey = Perry + Schon + Cain...you can add Smith, Ross, Rolie...but this incarnation is not what I want to remember Journey as....Sorry.
I have really given it a chance and well it did not live up to "What Was"...maybe you should step back and
really look and listen?

Then, by your standard, 1994!Perry was a tribute act, too. Let's see if you can acknowledge it.
(I bet you can't.)![]()

Perry's anal cavity probably doesn't afford much by way of light, so I don't hold it against you.

Well how can it, with all of Perry's albums burning up the cha -- oh wait.portland wrote:Journey = Perry + Schon + Cain...you can add Smith, Ross, Rolie...but this incarnation is not what I want to remember Journey as....Sorry.

Excellent, so then by definition you agree that Perry himself is a tribute act to Journey. I accept your concession with satisfaction; I criticize Journey with abandon and have absolutely no trouble acknowledging them as a tribute act if it gets you to concede that Perry is one too.
The sweet music of victory obscures the sound of your clumsy retreat.![]()

Hey, I don't wish him ill for his healthy bank account, especially when one considers the poor state of his voice!![]()

Your incessant backpedaling is generating a rather catchy rhythm, if I do say so myself.
