Dude, Niel doesn't care if it sells. Remember? They got paid upfront.

That's incorrect. They were able to have their studio time paid up front, but they also receive a royalty per unit shipped ... and my guess is that they're at least 1 million dollars short of where they thought they'd be right now. The math is as follows ... assuming about 300,000 copies sold right now and they receive about $6 per package sold, you get 300,000 (estimated packages they THOUGHT they would sell to this point-60,000 (actual packages sold)=240,000 net packages fewer than they thought. 240,000X$6=1.44 million dollars. Don, does this math look about right to you?

Oh sorry, I assumed they got paid upfront by Wallyworld for expected/projected sales. My bad.

I agree with this. Herbie was in control from the beginning through Frontiers. When he lost control around 1985 the numbers speak for themselves. ROR was a failure, TBF was a failure, Arrival was a failure. The lone success since 1983 has been Revelation. One truly, and relative to the times, successful album in 28 years. Yeah, I'd say Herbie is sorely missed.

WTF...you just contradicted yourself.

Uh oh....this week it went down one on this chart. Now down to 37. Has it already peaked? For comparison, Cain's duet fathfully went all the way to #1 a few years ago.
