Fantastic job with the Arnel interview, Andrew!

Postby Don » Wed Sep 07, 2011 3:40 am

Form all the publications I've read or videos I've watched from the states, Philippines or where ever, I think this was the best interview I have ever seen with Arnel as the subject.
You really hit it out of the park.

Yep. It took someone with Andrew's knowledge of Arnel to pull it off.

Excellent work, Andrew. Really enjoyed the interviews.

Sad that SP won't oblige you, ever, but that is his loss.

I knew when I posted the question there was really no way I could word it to avoid getting some kind ridicule, disdain, or smartass answer, so I was prepared for that. I also resigned myself to the possibility that, while I would get the very type of reply that is yours, I may not get the answer to the question - so thanks for that!

Mouse...?? I don't need no stinking mouse!! I'm old school baby. It's all keyboard shortcuts and arrow keys for me!

Thanks for the links and the reply!

Thanks for the feedback folks.

Awesome feedback too.

I don't do a lot of interviews these days, kinda burned out on them. But saving myself for a few big ones. Was really looking forward to these interviews and glad that comes across...

Love such good feedback. Good for the soul :)

Really great interviews with both guys, Andrew. Very conversational and not cookie-cutter. Arnel
doesn't have an ounce of bullshit in him and really seems to have settled in. Interesting part on his vocals for the opening and coach helping go open them up. His voice soars on Eclipse.

Excellent interview Andrew. It flowed more like a casual conversation between 2 people who have known each other for years. Arnel is a great interviewee. He's so positive and upbeat and there's seemingly nothing that's off limits to him. When I interviewed him near the end of the Revelation tour, I was blown away by his humility and how unassuming he is when it comes to his role in the band and his place in music history. The final lines of your interview speak volumes about his character and humility:

Take care, take care of yourself on the road, Arnel.
Ok. Ok. You too, huh? Thank you so much for your time.

It's nice to see his appreciation for..... well, everything basically, has remained largely in tact.

Nicely done Brother!

I noticed that Andrew did a lot more of the talking in Arnel's interview. Neal was pretty verbose. Was good to see him being so candid.
