The Infinity "Demos"...The Real Thing?

Most of you would think no. But I'm not quite convinced.

Now I know for a fact, that Lights, Feeling That Way, Anytime, and Wheel In The Sky are from the King Biscuit Flower Hour. La Do Da, Patiently, and Opened The Door are from the Chicago 1979 show ("In The Windy City" bootleg) and I'm PRETTY SURE Can Do is from the 78 San Francisco show at Monitro Studios. Not sure yet. But that leaves Somethin To Hide and Winds of March. I'm clueless on these. WOM is an instrumental, and Somethin To Hide...I dunno. Any thoughts?[/quote]

I have the bootleg with Patiently, etc., but not the Something to Hide and Can Do one... The Chicago and King Biscuit Flour Hour shows are my favorite Journey recordings ever.. Going to try and download these other 2 so thanks!! There's been a gold mine of old shows on the threads lately..

There is supposed to be one of those Diamond Head Crater Festival videos from 1977 that shows SP standing on the stage somewhere.

I've always found it bizarrely ironic that Perry was at his best when it came to live singing during the '70s but that the catalog was even better in the '80s.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

Isn't there a vid of SP playing the bass in Dec 1977...I think it was RF last concert @ the Waldorf or something?

Listening back to them, you might be right about "Lights," "Feeling That Way," "Wheel In The Sky" and "Anytime." That bums me out. But, I know that the versions of "Something To Hide," "Velvet Curtain," and the instrumental version of "Winds Of March" are demos. And, there is a demo of Robert singing "Wheel In The Sky" that I used to have, but I hate the way he sings that, so I don't have it in my iTunes. I wish they would have put the full version of "Velvet Curtain" on Time3. That has always irritated me, because you know they remastered the whole song, and it's just sitting in the vault, while we have to make do with an inferior version of the song or a remastered snippet. "Winds of March" as an instrumental holds up pretty well, and I've always enjoyed listening to that one.
