Very clever to have caught that! It's funny because everytime I have listened to In My Lonely Feeling, I kept wondering where I heard that part before...now I know! :D

They definitely did get those parts from DAD from the other songs. However, they are only "ripping off" themselves, so it doesn't bother me. Besides, WITS didn't get released with that particular introduction, so why not reuse it? And since neither IMLF or TR were ever meant to be released, very few people would have caught those parts being "recycled."

Now I have listened to some albums and heard the same riffs on several different songs on the same album. That, to me, is an entirely different issue! :)

See Signs of Life from Arrival and WCN. But there was a reason for that I think.

They're not ripping off themselves, but rather translating their stuff classically. Ad it works! They also used that WITS intro in their live shows around the 78-80 timeframe.

They recycle musical themes all through Dream After Dream. Neal references himself from time to time, but that's an artist's prerogative. You can't plagiarize yourself.
