The two Work of Art, Hitchcock and even Steel House Lane, Shy and old Survivor CDs have filled in the six available slots. I guess for me Journey has left the building as far as the type of melodies and big sound that I liked going back to when the Raspberries first hit the scene. Just my preference, but I am glad there are others that have stepped up to the plate and I don't have to depend on Schon and company for my MR fix. I saw Kenney Chesney at Foxboro a couple of weeks ago and people from six to sixty were rocking out like they do to the Journey Dirty Dozen.

OK..Michigan Girl, let me rephrase that for you; Sounds like he may be the typical casual Journey fan.

While I agree with you in regards to Eclipse, the new Work Of Art isnt AS great as people say it is. The problem I have with the new Work Of Art is that the album is like one big song , split into 10-12 songs.Everything sounds pretty much the same. It grew on me as fast as I got tired of it .

Just because he doesn't like Eclipse doesn't mean he's a casual fan... I've seen every incarnation of Journey (except Fleishman)... and have every album.. and I can't stand Eclipse... and I'm no casual fan..
pull yer head out dude.

Some of it is old-style. "Ritual" and "Someone" could easily fit at home on Arrival. In the case of "She's a Mystery", it's very old-school, almost sounds like an Evolution track. The rest is different, arguably not better, but different. I still say that fans of Red 13 will love this. Everyone else? Prolly not.

I loved Red13, and enjoyed the new album a couple of times, but it hasn't really grown on me yet. Still doesn't come close to Arrival for me though.
