Journey may disband after this tour - super clairvoyant says

My super computer with twin turbos is not predicting a 2012 tour, but rather a disbanding of one of America's most beloved bands.
It says that Jonathan will concentrate on his Nashville interests, while Neal Schon continues to negotiate his way though purgatory,
producing little more than scandal for 2012. Deen Castronovo and AP will move on to either form, or support another band and
neither one of them will be heard from much in 2012, save for Arnel's TV performances back home and some charity gigs with
his Ammo / Zoo bands. If any of you guys have already bought tickets for 2012, I hope you get a refund.
After Eclipse flopped, I'm sure most members of the band have chosen to just go their separate ways after this tour. (Jon is probably embarrassed)
Thanks Neal! You have pulled a Perry and fucked it all up. Now go enjoy your fruits.

But of coors! (dun now...going to try and find my bed)

I still think that skank is gonna ruin the band.

You may be quite correct steveo, don't have to be clairvoyant to see that coming.

Why would they call it quits when their live shows are still so successful? Isn't that where the money is?

Do you think they expected Eclipse to be a big seller? I'm guessing they really didn't care whether or not it sold well. They've all been in this business long enough to know what makes a hit song. Eclipse wasn't geared towards the charts.

...The world is going to end, so of course there will be no Journey tour.

Face it, Journey has and will always be a copycat band. Should have went into another direction the second Perry officially called it quits. No one gives a rats ass about a copycat voice. SUCKS, BIF=G TIME, UKKKK.

You must be hearing things. AP is not a copycat voice, but does bear some tribute to SP when required. Other than that, nope, he sounds like himself.

They can't break up untill they've met me, that's my own clairvoyance at play. Premonitions can be a bitch!

Hey the good news is....Journey breaks up all the time, but they usually come back when a certain guitarist realizes that his act alone doesn't fill arenas. Every time he comes back to earth things are good.....for a little while.

Well, maybe Rip, but I sure wish they've get their setlists together. My biggest gripe is that they won't play songs from Eclipse that we want to hear. Why are they ignoring their new album? We've been hearing the dozen for years and to me it's like watching a movie you've already seen....over and over, ad nauseum.

But that's what sells the tickets! The average concert goer doesn't want to hear Eclipse or anything after 1986. They want to hear the hits. And they are willing to pay what, $100 a ticket to hear them? So why would they change the formula as long as its working?

I haven't been to a Journey concert since 2001 for the reason you mentioned, but I highly doubt they are missing little ole me.

It really does go on and on and on and on.... :D

A mystery that several people are puzzled by. So far my suggestions haven't been effective, either. I'll keep hoping though. :)

I agree with Steveo. Jon Cain, and Ross Valory looked so bored at the Austin gig.
I think the original members would rather be doing something else with their time.

Don't get me wrong I had a complete blast at the Austin concert 11 days ago, but I wouldn't be surprised if Journey splinters after the Eclipse campaign ends.

Though in a perfect world, I'd love to hear a hard rocking follow up to Eclipse followed by a tour that features deeper album cuts and harder newer material.

I will say this...I can honestly say that I have considered NOT promoting/supporting the band because of this situation. Everyone who knows me KNOWS I love Journey. Honestly I have been completely embarrassed by the entire situation. People are bashing me with the news. I know I can't control people and their actions, but I can choose NOT to promote or support people/groups that exemplify immorality. I can deal with people who have had an abuse problem and are trying to or have gotten help, but the blatant and public adventures that are on display now, are pushing it over the edge for me. Yes, I KNOW I am a prude. I just have standards and this is ridiculous!

Just curious, you never had a problem with Neal and this kind of stuff when he was screwing around on his previous wives? What makes this different, because it is with a married media hound? :?

Honestly, I have not known about all the previous situations, just that he had been married a few times or more. I have not followed all that closely. I can admit that this sounds ridiculous on my part, but I guess we all have our own "edges" that we eventually meet. I just think I am close to mine. I may not be reasonable, but I guess that is my perogative. Thanks for calling me out though.

I guess what's really perplexing here is - how does this affect you & your fam? I mean, holys#it, if some rockstar/celebrity guitar player's personal life affects you in the least, then I'd guess that you have much greater issues. And if not, and this is the biggest problem in your circle of influence, then you've got life in cruise control. Kudos!

later~

Exactly...the average fan...the radio listening "Oh I remember that song!" fan...does not care who is singing as long as the songs are sung close to how they remember them.

I personally don't want to hear AIP, Ritual, or Someone live. These are the tunes I hear being called for to be played live around here. They have tons of those same types of songs. The ones I would like to hear live include COL, EOTM, SAM, Resonate. Apparently EOTM is not coming across well soundwise in the live setting. Not sure why, but if this is actually the case, choose another of the slightly different sounding songs mentioned above. I do agree with earlier posts from other threads though - I don't understand the apparent refusal to play Resonate live.

Oh I can hazard a guess why - because the song BLOWS. A killer intro guitar riff and... nothing else remotely good about it!

With only a couple weeks left, I seriously doubt they'll be adding any new songs...isn't the whole tour ending in October?
