I believe it will be on iTunes as well, they are just lagging behind.

Here's a YT video from Friday nights show...

That is one of the worst songs, and worst performances I've seen. Steve's voice was cracking like hell, and he wasn't even hitting the high notes of the song. He needs to just retire and get a new hobby. I was a HUGE fan of his with Journey, and appreciate that he gave me a chance to finally see the band for the first time, but he needs to walk away from the mic. That should be embarrassing the hell out of him to see these videos after his performances. Give it up dude! :?

Jim, I appreciate your opinion, and understand your musical background, but there are still a lot of people who enjoy and support Steve and what he does still offer. Just like many J songs, he sounded better on some than others. My advice to those who are no longer interested is don't support him if you don't want to or choose to. Just trying to share this to a forum that has become almost a waste of time unless you want to hear people who think J either sucks, they are the best thing since sliced bread, or Neal's myriad of personal problems.

Here's a montage video of the evening so everyone can critique every damn word he sings. Cuz God knows we are all better than him and are or have been far more successful. No different than the BS of everyone being anal around here about everything Arnel does. Yes, he's 10+ years removed from his beginnings with Journey and had vocal issues that most couldn't or wouldn't have come back from, but he sounds pretty damn good overall...having fun going out when the opportunities arise, and those going to his shows have been enjoying it.

I didn't think it was bad at all. Kind of a cool melody. I'm not going to judge him on that Youtube video though. I'm anxious to hear the studio version of it.

Music sounded good - like the keys riff. I'd like to hear the studio version. Not sure I hear a big hook there.

Steve might look YOUNGER than he did 10 years ago on Arrival 2001. Talk about a guy who doesn't age

I'll support the fucker's new music, won't support him in a live setting. Ditto with Journey.

I don't hear any vocal issues. Like Ehwmatt said, the hook is pretty slim, but it's a nice song. Augeri is still working out the kinks of his live act. He's added back-up singers, and on some songs, he obviously fattens up the sound by doubling the vocal. Good to see him out there. If Lou Gramm can do it, why not SA? And how cool is it to see 'Stay Awhile' in the set?

After reading all of your posts defending it, I went back and listened again (to the whole thing this time). This song is absolutely one of the worst I've ever heard. His voice DOES crack only 35 seconds into the song, his pitch is all over the freaking place, the song has zero direction with no hooks, and the "na na na" crap at the end was horrible!

I think he's a stand-up guy, but I don't see how anyone here can defend this song. It's terrible! I'm glad some of you are still catching his shows and having fun, but I'll pass. Give it a rest already Steve.

seriously Jim, how about you "give it a rest" it really is coming across from you as sour grapes because your Cold Heart didn't do what you had hoped it would.

You just need to raise your standards of hearing a singer that actually hits the notes he's trying to sing. And I'm not talking about just the high notes. To me, it isn't a contest of how HIGH someone can sing. It's all about tone, vibrato, and singing on key. You guys are drinking some serious cool-aid!

Ok, Mick Jagger, David Lee Roth, Bruce Springsteen, etc. They would be unemployed in this environment.

Steve was not having his best night in Milwaukee but the American Idolization of rock with these crooners is just gay (there I said it).

no not stupid jim....just looking at your sig and your pure hatred of the song brought me to that conclusion.....maybe it was a bit harsh...but so is your stamp of disapproval on this song and augeri's live performance and your idiotic cool aid comment. several of the people who posted about liking this have seen steve and his band live this year so there is no cool aid, just personal experience.

from what i was told...the usual journey songs plus stay awhile and the two new songs. but the setlist for firefest will be slightly different to include his tall stories and tyketto work.

Just watched the montage clips. Enjoyed it. :)

I had heard one single clip which wasn't a classic moment, but the montage clips are really good. Very happy for Steve.

Why don't you go cry into your Augeri pillow? Yes, your comment was both stupid, and ignorant. I've seen the man live 6 times, and while I loved his work (mostly) with Journey, I do not like his newer solo material. Just because I'm a musician, I'm not supposed to announce my likes or dislikes? You can kiss my balls.

If you pay attention, I am probably my own worse critic over my own music. I don't take the band thing seriously, hence the joke in my signature. If you want to worship the man and everything he releases, more power to you. I call it like I see it, and while I think he's a good guy, this song sucks in my opinion. Sorry you have bad taste.
