One of my favorite Augeri songs. My only complaint about the song is that I wish Augeri was playing guitar for the song because when Neal stops playing the rhythem parts and is soloing the song just sounds like it needs a little more chugging and the piano doesn't really cover it.

GREAT tune. Nothing from the Arnel era touches the best of Arrival.

His best song with Journey was Remember Me. To me anyways. I also loved "All The Way", "Loved By You", "World Gone Wild", "Lifetime Of Dreams" and "To Be Alive Again". Some GREAT songs on that album! I also liked a couple of the Generations songs (can't recall them right now).

Arrival out sold Revelation by how many units again?
You don't honestly believe everything you post, do you?

Arrival is a better CD than Revelation, just had no support.
Eclipse is better than Revelation and it's the same story.

I don't know sales figures and don't really care. There are some really shitty albums that were million sellers. Only care about music that I like.

Ok...ok
I've gotta admit I play Arrival more than Revelation and I play Eclipse more than both of those.

Bringing sales into a discussion about quality is silly. I'm with Ed on this. Numbers don't matter unless you're talking about popularity.

I was just playing off of the Revelation to Arrival sales comparison a few posts above. I am admittedly a numbers guy but I score Eclipse and Arrival about even as far as listening enjoyment. It's really a case of quality vs quantity though.
To me, Eclipse has more songs that I would call good while on the other hand, Arrival has fewer songs that I enjoy but I do consider them to be overall superior to what I hear on Eclipse.
And for the record, Arrival has a three to one sales advantage over Eclipse so far. With the changes in the industry over the last decade, I don't see Eclipse ever catching Arrival.

Uhm, hhmmm... While we've all had various problems with Arrival, my gut is that Eclipse 'jumped the shark' for Journey...record-wise.
(The current tour is huge, and the 'show' itself is a great rock concert. And so, that's probably the saving grace for Journey today. The flash, the glitz, the video, & lights, is all about a great 'show'. Add to that, great legacy music, and you've/we've got a fantastic rock concert experience. But if the band had to tour on Eclipse only, then no. Fail. Period.)
l will admit though, that Eclipse eventually did grow on me...a bit. But it's back on the shelf. Whereas, Arrival is still in rotation.
Both albums have production problems for me, but some of the songs on Arrival are much better than most of the songs on Eclipse. 'To Be Alive Again' is a great example.

The only thing with legs Neal sees is that blonde scarecrow they're using as a stage prop the last two weeks or so.

Are you sure shes blonde? We haven't seen the carpet. Of course, not sure I'd want to, seeing she has an ass like a small asian boy.

She's not a natural blonde, that's a fact.

Niel should just get it over with and change the band's name to Spinal Tap!

Definitely one of the catchiest and most uplifting songs on Arrival. Not
the best, but one of the better ones for sure

I do ...not even
SAM has surpassed Arrival, for me!
Remember, the record you
love and have not grown tired of
yet
isn't giving you a pot to piss in here.
Besides, the back and forth crapola you've been posting of late
is making me question your sanity!!

I agree that nothing from the Arnel era touches Arrival...sales only indicates that more people were aware of it and bought it...it has no bearing on which one I like better.

Sorry, didn't realize that I had to explicitly point out that I was also just sharing my opinion. Thought that was quite implicit in my post.

Question his sanity? Nah.
Question his intelligence? Have at it.
