Doing a triple header with these 2 high energy bands made for a great summer for the casual fan but it ruined the "Eclipse" part of the tour for sure.

Not really. They could easily jetison Lovin' touchin' squeezin', City of Hope, La Do Da, and trim down the soloing to fit a few better songs including promoting their current album. If the reason for all the soloing is Arnel needs breathers, then they should do the extended songs like they did last year, because that sounded great.

LTS may have been a hit before, but it's a crap song. No fan would go home let down because it wasn't played, and they could use that slot to play something that might make someone care about Eclipse. City of Hope doesn't cut it. Neal, please understand that City of Hope is not good enough to be the only song you play from Eclipse, it's just not. It does have some nice guitar work, but the song overall just isn't right. It and Human feel are the two that I always skip.

If they're looking for an new GOOD song. They could always play Leppard's "Undefeated". It's pretty clear audiences have no interest in Eclipse. Arnel's probably still pretty good at covers.

I hope NEAL has been reading this board because there are many long time dedicated fans here that are definitely NOT pleased with the setlists this year. Eclipse material has been almost totally abandoned for some obscure classics that the casuals could care less about anyway. There are some great songs on this album that the fans deserve to hear LIVE! The fact that they've totally ignored playing Anything Is Possible and Someone is beyond me..... Very frustrating!

I hope that have been reading as well. The shows haven't been cutting it lately. I have no clue what's going on, but it seems they are ignoring the obvious.

Yeah, October 21st is it. Nothing will change between now and then. Well, perhaps the last show they'll play a few extra tunes, but that's about it.

While I have some issues keeping me from going to a show this year, like a litter of new puppies and some short term cash flow issues, if I had been really passionate about seeing the band this year, I'm sure I'd have found a way. I don't feel them at the present time. This has nothing to do with Arnel, but the band lately, their crappy set lists and sound issues, which I keep hearing about over and over again. I'm sad that this is really the first time since I've been a fan that I've been kind of "meh" on the whole thing.

Let me just say this ... this whole notion that Arnel is allowed to only talk about "certain things" is complete bullshit. The guy just knows what's relevant and what's not, and doesn't delve into the bullshit bin. I think it's called "common sense."
