And no matter how flattering you are to him in the way you publish the interview, he'll state that he "never really felt like he was part of it." :lol: :lol:

+1 on that. I realized after I had submitted my snarky reply that I neglected to give you props for landing that one. Not an easy one to come by. I hope it was as cool as you hoped it would be.

WOW. And what are your thoughts about it (without letting the cat out of the bag of course)?

I'm very very happy with it and Steve was very accommodating and a great interview. You won't get answers to every burning question, but I hope there is answers to a few. The interview was to promote GH1&2 and Street Talk, so there were parameters.

The Pro-Desk manager at my local Home Depot is named Steve Perry and it NEVER fails that he gets paged every single time I'm in that store. I'm just trying to figure out why in the world Andrew would get so excited about interviewing him. Maybe it has something to do with Boston's replacement singer and his Home Depot story.... I dunno..... :lol: :lol: :P :wink:

Of course. just like Tapegate, somethings just aren't going to be talked about. Did he really talk to you for over an hour? That sounds like a guy that is very comfortable in dealing with the media despite being considered a recluse.

So in other words, the same old stuff....?? With Perry, it seems there are always "parameters". You were probably told what not to ask before the interview even started. :wink:

Well, given the gag orders and confidentiality clauses he put on the band's members with the threat of legal action should they break them, you can rest assured Andrew had a laundry list of "off-limits" topics.

Well, there is being polite and respectful on the very first time one interviews such a legend. But I think there is some new thoughts/comments in there.

20 minute interview....went 82 minutes :)

A big thank you to Lora @ FanAsylum for her part in helping me set this up.

I don't know that he was totally comfortable about all topics, but he was 100% honest and very real with his answers. I respect that a great deal.

Nomota has done the same thing with it's ex-employees also. That's not just Perry specific.

Nicely done, Lora.
My next question is, are you good enough to get Dan an interview? :lol:

{Gotta lovingly rib Dan here a few times. :lol: }

Glad we could help. The current going rate for talking to Steve is $10,100 for 15 minutes (according to the current eBay Auction). Since you talked to him for 82 minutes, I figure you owe about $55,213.33. And that's in U.S. Dollars.

Behshad's iPhone4S could transcribe the entire interview, if you just read the text to it.
