I think the Rock Hall of Fame is screwed up in many ways...but thought this angle was interesting. And since Journey was mentioned....

The hall’s selective “open-mindedness” explains how ABBA, Neil Diamond, Madonna and Steely Dan can be rock hall members. But that big tent gets tiny when it comes to music that mainstream Red America loves — especially music that appeals to straight, white, working-class men. Journey isn’t in the hall. Neither is Jethro Tull, Boston, Bon Jovi, the Cars, ELO, the Steve Miller Band or Stevie Ray Vaughn. Nor is Kansas. Or Styx. Or Ted Nugent. Get the picture?

Yeah its an absolute joke! Chicago who have been around for over 40 years and have sold well over 100 million albums are still not in. Journey, Foreigner, and Heart also.

Dave Marsh and his buddies will never vote for bands like Journey, Heart, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, and Chicago. Dave's too obsessed with his idol, Bruce Springsteen.

Moron. Yes marsh is Springsteen's biograpgher, but Bruce and Bon Jovi are close friends, and Bruce has mentioned the journey snub recently and has said it's a "crime they aren't in." I would look for his influence to actually get Journey in, however, Heart? Foreigner? Please. They are in no way worthy.

I can't agree with your opinion of Heart. On what basis would you deny them?

Your way off base and out of touch with reality. Your the moron. Heart, no question. They were one of the first female rock bands in a male dominated field, had several rock hits, and Ann is one of the best female vocalists out there. They opened the door for many female bands, especially in rock.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke. If they called it the music hall of fame... that might be more accurate. There are so many acts in there that have nothing at all to do with rock and roll. Just my opinion...
