Watch first trailer for 'Rock of Ages' musical

Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti. What do they all have in common? They all look pretty good in the first trailer for Rock of Ages, the upcoming flick based on the hit Broadway musical.

Best part of the trailer? Cruise doesn't say one word. Worst part? Baldwin says way too many. The role of Dennis, the owner of the Bourbon Room, was a little less in-your-face on stage. But who knows? Maybe it will work. (It also appears the mayor role is now female, but that's fine. Hopefully they eliminate the whole "my son wants to own a candy shop" side plot.)

The music sounds like it's been tweaked a little too, but the lineup of songs remains the same -- classics from Twister Sister, Journey, Foreigner and Jefferson Starship.

I can't wait for Summer 2012.

I know NS went to this show in LA with Jack Blades before it hit Broadway and the Tony awards. Just thinking now that things are a little less acrimonious between former band members. who's going to show up at the premier?
