What's wrong with Loverboy? They're pretty much the same genre as Journey. Would be interesting touring with Work of Art, but that will never happen considering the fact that Journey makes most of their touring dollars because they're touring with big name acts (Foreigner, Heart, Night Ranger, Loverboy, etc...)

What??? All 5 of WOA's fans in the audience would be clapping. The rest of the crowd would be fighting it out in the beer and bathroom lines. I LOVE Work Of Art, but 99.99% of Americans have absolutely no idea who they are. They're great, but everyone knows Loverboy. I think LB is a great choice for Journey. LB, Foreigner and Journey would be a great line-up.

I think Loverboy's recent studio output is absolutely top notch. But the live clips I've seen aren't overly impressive. Maybe it's a visual thing on account of Reno looking like a retired patrol officer who spends his every waking hour at Dunkin Donuts, who knows.
Journey got smart and realized it can't have dynamic, energizing bands like Night Ranger and Foreigner going on before the snoozefest/wankfest combination Neal puts on these days.

The guys in Loverboy are extremely cool. Opened up for them once and did a show in the same casino as them. Mike ended up in the room next to my wife and I and we had breakfast sitting next to Mike, Paul, and their bass player. Very nice guys, totally down to earth. Mike was looking for the nearest golf course.

Journey wouldn't want Work of Art on before them because Work of Art would probably kick their asses each and every night.

They sure did. Was my first concert, ever. We got to Reunion Arena in Dallas a bit late, but Loverboy was just starting "Working For The Weekend" and it was epic. The whole evening was epic.

Loverboy is a great fit for Journey, although I've not heard them for years. Can they still bring it like back in the day? They were really great way back when.
At least their the same genre as Journey which wasn't true with Def Leppard, and the same era, which didn't seem true with Frampton.

I won't be paying for a ticket that includes Loverboy.

But you'll pay for one that includes the current Journey? Christ, chances are Neal will try and one-up Hendrix this tour and play a solo with his cock (and possibly flash a cell phone pic of it too).

LOVE Loverboy ...again, Journey's management knows how to continually pull
people in to hear the same ol, same ol over and over again ...I just don't
know if Loverboy alone will do it for me, we'll see!!
Foreigner and NR made last years trip well worth it, but Journey
owes me some money!!

Yeah, find the right 3rd band and this package will sell very well. Needs to be someone who is content with 30-45 minutes.
I've never seen Loverboy so I'm kinda excited, personally. And would prefer it just be these two for deeper cuts by both bands (something last summer lacked). But to be a top 20 tour it probably needs a third..and there is nothing wrong with that, either.
What about Honeymoon Suite??? Billy Squire??? Survivor???

Is it posted somewhere that Journey is touring with Loverboy? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks in advance.

I just saw Mike Reno sing at Jim Peterik's World Stage show last Friday and he still has a good voice, he hit all the notes spot on!

I saw Loverboy a number of years ago on a whim and had an absolute blast. They knew "where they came from" and played it up to the crowd's delight. And I was surprised but Mike Reno nailed the high notes despite being substantially heavier than he once was.
I'd go see 'em.

Wow...I had heard that Mike Reno (finally) lost some weight....but based upon the video that story-teller posted my source was obviously wrong. M.R. looks like he's going to freakin explode!!!

He's lost it since then. Here's a more current clip.

If they are going to charge $75 - $100 per ticket, and have ILAA so you have no chance of getting the best seats, then forget it...not worth it to me.

Yeah, it was meant to be humorous.
Unlike this piece of inspirational work.
"When you share the dream
There's no "I" in team
Let the spirit take you higher
It's a state of mind
No one can define
There's no limit to desire"

Loverboy is an EXCELLENT choice, and I was extremely excited to hear they'll be on this tour. YES, they still bring it...
