So in Seattle on the last night of the tour, the band filmed a video for "Resonate".
Did anybody ever see this?

would be cool to see, best song on Eclipse, best rocker since Edge of the Blade. A very B side Frontiers sound with Arnel doing his very vocals.
picking the very boring City of Hope as the single, and the only song they played by the end killed
any hope of the record doing well

A little too moody for me. Strong song tho. What's cool about tracks like Resonate or EOTM or Human Feel is that it's def. Journey carving out new ground. For better or worse, it's not following any Perry blueprint.

Best song on that album is Chain of Love. Why film Resonate? I like that tune a ton though.

Nah, after all these months (sounds like a ballad Jon could write for Neal's love life  ), Resonate is still the best track on the album for me. But they should have cut the first 50 seconds off.

yes first 50 seconds really useless as many extended timing of songs in eclipse...

I have to agree. While they may seem like a great idea on first listen, it quickly becomes frustrating to listen to any time I put it on. Moreover, when I play it for my family or friends, that delay before it really kicks in doesn't go over very well....

But I must admit that the album is actually holding up well for me. I hadn't listened to it in quite a while, but I put it on the other morning on the way to work and really enjoyed it. I never used to understand why some thought Ritual should have been released as the first or early single, but now I get it. But don't get me wrong -- Resonate, Chain of Love and EOTM are still the ones I think most shine.

Always thought they made poor choices of singles on Eclipse....
To me, "City of Hope" and "Resonate" weren't marketable Journey songs. "Someone" and "Anything is Possible" would have been my choices, with "She's a Mystery" as a surprise sleeper.

"Resonate" was tossed about as the name of the cd. Wouldn't surprise me if it was going to be the lead track and the first 50 seconds were supposed to serve as an intro, similar to FITH on Gens or SOG on Red 13.

My feelings mirror yours exactly, as far as singles. COH is a skipper for me, as I just don't dig the song all that much. Someone and AIP are my favorites on the album, but then Chain of Love and Resonate might be my favorites when I'm in a different mood. The album has stood the test of time for me and is in regular rotation. I don't give a damn if people around me don't get it, but it pleases me.

The video for Journey's new song Resonate will depict Schon and Salahi's love affair, set to be released on Valentine's Day.

I've heard "it's the song not the singer" but this might be along the lines of "it's the guitarist, not the singer."
Wonder if they'll hack off some of the intro for the radio edit?

What a waste of time and money. Eclipse was dead only weeks after its release. Releasing ANY new video, or single, now is pointless. They would be better off recording some new song and releasing it on iTunes then continuing to try to run with this album that has never had any legs.

I have to think the overall best song on Eclipse is Resonate, with a close second of Anything is Possible.
