107.5 WKZL out of Greensboro, NC interviewed Salahi's soon to be ex-husband Tareq this morning. Jack Murphy, of Murphy in the Morning, cut to the chase and asked Tareq about his thoughts on Salahi running off with Journey guitarist Neal Schon. He went on to say this isn't the first time she has cheated. But, the real story is that at every Journey show, the band has been putting Tareq's face up on the screen during the concerts and basically telling the security staff to be prepared if he happened to be present at one of the shows. So now, Tareq plans on suing the band for public defamation. Might be some major $$$ in this lawsuit. I don't know if any of you guys have been witness to this at any of the Journey shows or not, but apparently this has been done and there is going to be some sort of litigation because of it. I don't have any links or anything, just happened to be listening to it today as I was driving to the office.
I understand the concept of there's no such thing as bad publicity, but I don't see how this can be positive for the band at all.
