So the average for Manila is just behind the Greatest Hits DVD, but you don't give actual figures for the Greatest hits DVD

Hey all,

Thanks for the updated sales figures ...

Can you provide sales figures (total and current) for Eclipse and GH 2? I'd be really curious how each has sold (domestic and U.S.), since their releases, even though GH 2 is only 4 months old?

Thank you :)

Best Regards,

Michael

Since GH2 hasnt reached the top 200 on the catalog albums chart, its really hard to know the exact sales figures. My conservative estimate for GH2 would be 20,000 and Eclipse is probably around 74,000.

Essential Journey seems to be outselling GH2.

Jrny84, thanks for the updates - very interesting ...

Can you also please tell us how many copies of Arrival have sold in total (both U.S. and internationally / in total), to date? I've heard so many guesstimates and ranges, that its not even funny. I thought it was a very strong album musically, underrated, and I bought it on the 1st day it was released (4/3/2001). Thanks for the update.

Best Regards,

Michael

Hi Michael,

No problem, my pleasure. Arrival was a great album, probably my favorite post-perry album. The thing that killed alot of the sales for Arrival was the fact that it leaked out on the internet before it was released.

Here is a breakdown of some sales for Arrival in the United States:
*The last soundscan number available: 187,411 in Dec. of 2005
*Estimated soundscan sales figures today around 220,000
*Since soundscan doesnt include all music retail outlets, actual figures are probably close to 280,000 total (Conservative)

Worldwide Sales Figures for Arrival
*Arrival sold 34,000 in Japan, which was the second highest sales total (USA #1)
*Then factor in sales from popular Journey markets such as Germany, Norway, Sweden, and South America.
*Estimated worldwide totals are probably close to 350,000.

These are just estimates from weekly sales figures and past soundscan figures, so estimates could be higher or lower.

Makes sense since it is a 2-disc set and has more *known* songs to the general public. They're both great, IMO. :)
