The words of Journey‘s classic 1981 anthem ‘Don’t Stop Believin” have been given new life thanks to a highly entertaining video that features Steve Perry’s lyrics re-interpreted via the clever (and no doubt extremely time-consuming) editing together of dozens of iconic movie scenes.
This compilation, courtesy of Don Draper Says What?, features clips from tons of famous films, including ‘Robocop,’ ‘Animal House,’ ‘Deliverance,’ ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ and ‘Apocalypse Now.’ You’ll find stars such as Kurt Russell, Woody Harrelson, Mike Myers and Harrison Ford (as both Han Solo and Indiana Jones!) mouthing the words over a re-recorded version of the song’s backing track.
One word of warning: some kid-unfriendly and slightly not-safe-for-work scenes from Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Reservoir Dogs,’ ‘Alien’ and other films turn up over the course of the two-minute clip, so maybe finish your breakfast first!
No matter how many times Cain tells the story, it always ends up as Perry's magnum opus. The man, the myth, the legend.
