Pain in the crash

Move on, Journey rocker beau tells Michaele Salahi’s ex-husband

Journey rocker Neal Schon and his White House party crasher girlfriend Michaele Salahi are ready for everyone to stop believing in Tareq Salahi’s accusations against them.

“You gotta pick up the pieces, you gotta man up and you gotta deal with it,” the Journey guitarist told Flash Thursday night, of his girlfriend’s ex, Tareq, whose $50 million defamation suit against the couple was dismissed by a Virginia judge this month.

The saga started last year when former “Real Housewife of D.C.” Salahi ditched her husband Tareq to run off with Schon, prompting a befuddled Tareq to file a missing persons report and, later, the now-dismissed lawsuit alleging, among other things, that Schon emailed Tareq a photo of his penis and called him with the message, “I’m f****** your wife.”

“It’s time everyone kind of just gets a grip on what’s going on here. It was not a conspiracy. It wasn’t meant to hurt anyone. It happens in everyday life. People move on. They fall out of love and in love with someone else and that is life,” Schon said, during Thursday night’s Tribeca Film Festival premiere party for the new Journey documentary, “Don’t Stop Believin’,” at New York’s Double Seven.

“It just happened — she fled to me, and all of a sudden Tareq brought it in the forefront and the news,” he griped.

Schon and Salahi say they’ve turned down offers to star in their own reality show, with Schon claiming, “I’m not media hungry like that.”

Still, he understands why there’s so much interest in his infamous girlfriend.

“For some reason there’s this real buzz on her,” he said, “which is flattering in a sense because people are interested in this story and how it turns out because of all of the twist and turns.”

The sad thing is Neal thinks all this attention is flattering. She brings nothing to the table that is flattering...zero.

People are 'interested' in this story for the same reason they are 'interested' in those "real life crime" stories...people just can't get enough of seeing how people can screw up each others lives, destroy something they care about, think nothing is wrong and other people are to 'blame', but in the end they lose everything.

When you drive by an accident, you always have to turn your head to look.

That's all that's going on here. Flattering? No. A bit disturbing? A much better description.

If he isn't media hungry, then why did he allow the camera crew to follow them around buying underwear, mink eyelashes etc?

Not media hungry?
The Resonate video was nothing more than a ploy for personal attention. The song was never released as a single to radio yet Michaele and Neal still went on a media tour to talk about their love affair immediately after the video was released. Look at the interviews, barely any mention of the new album, it was just more sound bites about their relationship.

The whole thing is just disgusting. If I was Steve Perry I would be counting my lucky stars that he is no longer affliated with a band member that is starved for attention.

Totally Agree

Just a sad story about a great band going down the tubes in my opinion

And some people speed past an accident. I think most people are hauling ass past this accident with just a backward glance, thankful to be past it.

Sure Neal. In fact, I just emailed a pic of my penis to my neighbor the other day and told him I want to fuck his wife. Shit happens like that every day in real life. Tell all the haters to STFU.
