Does anyone know why Journey has stopped playing this song? Its my favorite Journey song by far and one of my favorite songs of all-time period and I have now seen Journey the past 5 years and not once have they played it. Its one of their mega hits, they literally play all of the others except this one!

Good question. I've not been listening to all the classic Journey songs that Journey has been doing over the past five years now but if they have not played that one at all, even once, I'd say there's got to be a reason behind not playing it. Because they've been doing all the other classic Journey tunes and Who's Crying Now is one of the top hits that they did back when.

I really like WCN as well. I used to hear it quite a bit on the local radio stations, but now Faithfully and Open Arms seen to have taken its place.

I would like to see this one thrown into the setlist again, afterall it was a major hit reaching #4 on BB Top 100.

It is one of their better hits I agree and it must be for some reason or the other they have not played it. I wouldn't think it's because it's too difficult for AP to sing compared to all the other classic Journey hits that they already are playing. Would all parties that have a percent of the copyrights of the song have to all agree of it's new re-release in order for them to be able to do it with AP and not Perry? Is there a possibility that Perry himself does not want them to do it for whatever reason? Not doing it but doing all the other songs does raise question as to why. Making light of the issue we could joke and say that they are saving it for when they re-release another release of old Classic Journey tunes in the near future.

That's pretty funny considering it's my favorite solo from Neal in Journey. I especially love the extended version he created for the live shows when Augeri was in the band. Another notable extended solo/jam created for touring is found on Hopelessly in Love.

Well maybe good news finally! Apparently their last several shows they have added WCN to their set list! They are coming to Tulsa in a few weeks so I am hoping the 6th time is the charm, its gets more and more frustrating every show when they dont play it, especially because they always play that piano solo but break into Faithfully these days instead of WCN. Fingers crossed!

It's not my favorite, but I do love the extended solo.

I think they don't play it because it's kind of a downer song. They have enough of those already. When I say "downer song", I mean it's not one that gets the audience on their feet with fists pumping.

Well, they also haven't been playing some of their other hits the last few years either. But that's good as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather be hearing more of the non-hits.
I haven't heard them play "I'll Be Alright Without You" "Send Her My Love" "Still They Ride" "Just The Same Way" "Chain Reaction" "Girl Can't Help It" "When You Love A Woman" and a few other hits in a long time.

I want more of the new songs in addition to older non-hits.

I think Who's Cryin' Now is Journey's most finely crafted of the AC type songs they've done. It's so good it reminds me of something the Eagles would do. It is a shame they don't play it more because of their 'hits' it is one of the least dated sounding as opposed to something like Seperate Ways which has such an inescapable 80s sound to it. That doesn't make it bad, of course, but it does date it. Who's Cryin' Now feels timeless to me and I've never tired of it.

I've always thought that the band should craft their interviews toward a song or two. I mean, pick a few songs that aren't as big as others, and script/guide their radio/newspaper Q&A around that. And evolve this as the tour progresses.

Someone is always going to ask about DSB. So give the standard spin, but also throw in some sort of blurb about what it "could be". And all the while, make subtle comments about whatever situations which will lead toward other songs. For example, WCN. Maybe during one interview say what it is, maybe during another, say what it "could be" for the audience. And whenever asked about another song, spin it toward some other song.

I mean, rather than the standard answers, or silence, when approaching a gig...throw out some bait. America will bite, and be enticed to spend a few more bucks. Like a great sports team, it's their game to lose.

Journey is riding high, VERY high, right now. But it could be higher.

Maybe Arnie can't nail those songs on a nightly basis.

Not sure why. If it was some of the '70s stuff that required his A-game with range, I'd see it, but he can definitely nail them.

Boring song, but it was a hit, so it should prolly be played.

i like the song, but i prefer to listen other ones like "be good to yourself" , "Send her my love" or "After the Fall"

Any song that allows Neal to jam on at the end (i.e. Stone in Love, Be Good To Yourself, Who's Cryin' Now) gets my vote over Send Her My Love.
