Hard to believe it's Arnel's 5th anniversary with Journey. I'm sure some of you have some stats on concerts etc. It's just cool to see AP's still around going strong!
Journey is now visiting parts of the world they've never visited before. How good can it get? Congrats Journey!

Yeah and so many here gave him under a year.
They may not be doing the kind of attendance numbers they were in the 80s, but pretty much NO bands from that time are. Journey has figured out how to be successful on the road and they have maximized their audience size as much as they can. With Perry, sure, it'd probably be bigger, but it wouldn't be 60,000 like it was. There are very few classic rock bands that are as successful as Journey's been in the past few years.

That is true, what other bands from the 80's are as active and at the popularity level today as Journey is now? Most seem to have gone into retirement or the ones still active have a popularity that has just decreased to very minimal levels in comparison to what it was in their 80's hay day. An interesting concept with Journey over the past five years now is the fact that many of the young fans that were not even born when SP was singing these famous songs, can now go in and watch this band live and experience pretty much the exact sound that Journey had even before they were born. To me anyways, that is an interesting concept with Journey now.
