hear journey then and now in the dec. classic interview player issue and in a new interview friday

Don’t miss Journey founder Neal Schon as my guest this Friday, December 7th at 5:30 on All Things Considered on HPR1.

Since being lucky enough in August 2002 to arrive in Honolulu and become part of the Hawai`i radio community a decade ago, it has been truly good fortune to have logged no less than six interviews with this fascinating, vibrant and talented gentleman. To celebrate the return of Journey with this new, latest conversation you’ll hear Friday is a treat to be grateful for. I look forward to sharing it with you.

Another talk story session to be appreciated is the one in the December issue of the Classic Interview Player: interview number four of the bunch. This phoner was part of a one-hour, locally produced radio special for the Generations album, and aired around now back in 2005 during the 105.9 KPOI portion of my career here.

This December issue offers the entire interview portion of the special heard on-air, and ten videos, most of which are complete Journey concert video recordings. One of the handful that is not a complete show is a tantalizing 34 minute video capturing Journey live inside the Diamond Head Crater in Honolulu in July 1977. For island fans, it will no doubt be a wonderful way to begin what is a several hour journey — no pun intended — through live video and film of the band in action.

Andrew didn't mean not to ever use a capital letter again.   He just said don't use all CAPS in the title. It's equated to shouting, and yes, it's annoying. Sorry bro, you post some of the best stuff on this site, so keep posting. :D

Didn't know that Deen had blown a vocal cord during the 2005 Generations tour....
He was singing covering material from the Infinity album - 6 songs....
The other cord was going & drs told him not to talk or sing for 6 months...but still sang 1 song
during it..
