Journey's Jonathan Cain In The Studio

Late 1970's Jonathan Cain was the keyboard player in The Baby's. I know, because I saw them open for Journey at Municipal Auditorium. Were you there?!

It would be a big tour for Jonathan, because Journey keyboard man, Gregg Rolie, would leave the band after that tour, and Jonathan Cain would take his place.

Jonathan has been living in Nashville now for 4 years, and loves it. He was involved with 'Make a Wish' in San Francisco, and is bringing his talents to Nashville with 'Stars for Wishes.' It's January 19th at the Factory in Franklin to raise money for Make a Wish.

Jonathan Cain changed Journey with songs that were made for Steve Perry's unique voice, and shot the band straight to the top. This is the second time he's been in the studio with me, and you will never meet a more personable, discerning, talented guy. He has his own wine company, and just finished a recording studio, Addiction Sound Studios, in Berry Hill.
Hope, Strength, Joy. Middle Tennessee Make A Wish Stars for Wishes is January 19th. Come join us!

Jonathan talks about how his meeting with a 16 year old about to die, changed his outlook on helping.

Too bad that after 30 plus years, he wasn't able to "change Journey with songs that were made for" Steve A. and Pineda's soundalike and/or karaoke voices and shoot "the band straight to the top" instead of "living off past glories."

"Steve is it time for the chorus yet, 'not yet' and finally Steve said it's time." Cain
