Most pop sounding Journey song

I'll go with Positive Touch. With an opening that sounds ripped straight from the Pointer Sisters' "I'm So Excited."

I would agree with you Don...except for the weak chorus and left turn the song takes into a minor key at the end...makes it too inaccessible for me to really consider it a true "pop" song but the whole ROR album was a real pop record.

My vote would go to Suzanne, with the electronic drum accent, the high energy chorus...it's by far the most "pop" sounding song in my book.

positive touch sounded more R&B then poppy.

I will go with the utterly bland All the Way. Suzanne comes a close 2nd.

I didn't have time to post earlier, but the first song that popped into my head was Suzanne, so I will have to go with what Jeremey said here.

When those that complain about recent releases not being "Journey"...they need to listen to this. You call that "Journey"? I now remember why I haven't listened to this CD since it first came out. Uff da.

This one has boy band pop written all over it. The only saving grace to any of the songs mentioned here is Schon's guitar. Not enough in some instances though.

"Happy to Give" is a pretty cheesy pop song, if you ask me. It was used as the theme song to a bad 80's surfer movie called "North Shore."
If you saw it, it's hard to believe SP made The Sopranos jump through so many hoops to use DSB.

Suzanne and Girl Can't Help It were the ones that immediately came to mind. Be Good To Yourself has that trademark 80's little keyboard riff that's like this all electronica attention grabber - kinda like the anthemic piano part in Dancing Queen.

Or Phil Collins drum sound in "In The Air Tonight"...

Only The Young is pretty pop sounding, but it's also one of my favorite Journey songs.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
