Man, that Floyd is right on top of the pickup. Looks and sounds good though.

Ehwmatt wrote:These prs are ugly ass guitars... And I'll say it again: Neal should only be playing hollow or semi hollow body guitars on his beyond the thunder or trial by fire stuff. For straight up AOR, it doesn't work. It's telling that in the two demo vids I've seen Neal do for these guitars, he doesn't kick on his classic lead sound once

Gibson recently was mentioned as having the worst boss to work for, are difficult for dealers to work with and also got fined for illegally importing wood. I'm not quite understanding these PRS models, I though hollow body guitars are for lite jazz and feedback like crazy when used for rock?

This new guitar isn't completely hollow... there's a solid mahogany piece through the middle that eliminates the feedback problem.

I still doubt that thing sounds good with a lot of Neal style gain

It must be working because he's already using them live..
Used to be feedback came from stage monitors.. now House systems how have auto-notch filtering eq that kills feedback as it occurs.. so monitor induced feedback is pretty much dealt with
Since a lot of Neal's monitoring is in-ear... with a sidefill for taste... and he's already using the guitars, I'd venture they've already solved the amp based feedback issue.. if any..

I'm not talking feedback; more just talking about good ok'd fashioned tone. I don't see a semi hollow producing a nice Neal tone

His tone is so over-processed now... hollow, semi-hollow, solid... ain't really gonna make a difference..

I've for years that his tone is waaay over processed now- almost unlistenable. The hollowbodies are ugly. Why not trick out a custom 24 like he had during the Arrival days and call it a "Schon" model? Plus, I thought that he was coming out with a reissue of the Schon models from the late 80's... what happened to that???
