Future tour hopefuls...

First off, no more triple bill tours! Fans deserve longer shows (I don't care how the tour itinerary gets spaced out as long as people have the chance to see it) so they should either limit it to double bill shows, headliner with an opening act, or "Evening with..." type shows.

I gotta go with "an evening with"
The band needs a 1 month break and I don't care about large venues, only intimate ones. Less than 5000 is fine with me and set it up, soundwise, accordingly. No Neal wank-off sessions and a bit of acoustic too. I still belive Arnel has the chops to pull off a nice 3 hour concert, when rested and in good shape. Rolie should also be there.

Oh, and definitely play Stay Awhile. I got a taste of it, for the first time I remember in years. I thought AP did well on it.

I remember the first time I watch the Green Mile. I was mesmerized by it and could not believe that it was a three hour movie! I still love the movie to this day, but not when I already know it's a three hour show.

I want to be mesmerized by Journey just one more time in my lifetime! How about a little mesmerix? :D :D :D

Oh definitely play that one, certainly ten times better than anything they have written over the last 10 years.

Massive touring could be over. They'll do a few songs for sound tracks, and they may do some major market dates & festivals. But my gut is that once the Santana thing is over - if ever really happens - then they'll all begin to fade-out. Schon & Rolie will have come full-circle.

Somebody will fall ill, maybe even a death. Cain will do Nashville as a writer/producer. Schon will retire to the jazz & blues, possibly opening a few clubs. Valory will do his own thing in the Bay Area, or retire to Idaho (?) to fish on a river. Castronovo will continue to gig, possibly with a big name, and do clinics. And Pineda, he'll just go home.

Who knows... :?:

Journey's been pretty fortunate in that regard. With the exception of Larrie Londin and Mike Stone, mostly everybody that's been associated with Journey seems to still be around.

Father time is definitely knocking at the door though.
