If the band wants to release something for themselves again I can applaud that BUT they better not bitch when it doesn't sell or complain that the fans aren't giving them a fair shake.
And it's pretty much a given that any new songs will be one and done in a live setting. They seem to have resigned themselves to going backwards with their setlist, not forward.
Still looking forward to Santana IV more than anything else.

I've been looking around and I'm still not convinced that this is much more than a rumor or a convo in a couple guy's living rooms. I wanna see the rubber hit the road!
As for Cain, you can bet he's writing, but not for Journey's genre. Yes, there will be recording.

Revelation was only scheduled to be the re-records and an EP of new material. Eclipse was also originally an EP. Only Neal has pushed this band forward creatively.

Given the quality of the recent material.. I'd have to agree with that 100%.

I did. See the frontpage.

Sucks to be you then. I'm glad Revelation is a full album. Not even going to rehash your tired thoughts on Eclipse. You obviously exist in an 80's time warp. Not every song is going to be Separate Ways part 2.

I don't think this is like the other times when Jon talked about not recording full length albums anymore. They've already found the success they were trying to obtain since the Perry era, maybe he's thinking, after reaching such a high with Revelation why throw good money after bad two times in a row?
The perception seems to be that Sony screwed them over with Arrival so I can see why he was upset back then, but Eclipse's shortcoming at retail were all on the band. No one else to blame this time around.

Eclipse sold 100,000 copies. A lot of bands won't ever sell that many in their entire career.

Cain made that comment in reference to Arrival's low sales numbers. Much the same way he has now expressed similar thoughts regarding Eclipse's low numbers. There is no "probably" about anything. Go read the interview(s). Way to twist things around to vindicate your own agenda. Next you'll be telling me that Cain never wanted to fracture the stone.

Your agenda is one of being "anti-new Journey music." That is all. Not only do you never pass up an opportunity to shit on Eclipse, now you're claiming to have insight into Cain's motives. The fact of the matter is, if Cain was so worried about ruining the writing dynamic or upsetting the apple cart (as you claim), he would never have reformed the band in the first place. Duh. You are as adept as discussing the band as you are politics. Go back to being Monker's felch-gargling bitch on the main forum.
