Trying to think of an act that abandoned touring and became a Vegas headliner for an extended period of time then went back to touring and either it's been a very long day and I can't think straight or there aren't any. I'm talking about a long-term contract of 2 years or more. What Lep's doing is fairly cool and I'd be very surprised if nearly every show wasn't sold out. But then again it's Def Leppard who still employs the same members who made them who the are. I don't think Journey could do the same.
Wayne Newton is toast again, so there is an opening. Something mechanical might be just the proper replacement. You know, a band that plays the same songs every night and sounds almost like Steve Perry........if you close your eyes.

You might even get "comped" for it, if you put enough quarters in the machines and treat the cocktail waitresses right, especially if the floor manager catches your eye, while you are trying to get a comp'd Journey show while trying to bed said cocktail waitress, while pretending to your wife it's all just "part of the show".
