Totally different vocal arrangement than the original- BUT it works for him and it works well. It's a lot more his style and in a key that works for him. He's down half a step. Best I've heard him sound recently.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Steve's done similar things in the past, like his acoustic intro to Stone in Love and I've seen him do an acoustic, slightly alternate version of Faithfully. It's different, but I don't think it's bad.

He sounded good there.

Side note, I just downloaded his 4 singles on iTunes and I think all 4 are really good. "Hours In The Day" could have been a Journey tune easily.

makes 1/2 the people on American Idol look like world class singers. that was just awful.

I give him credit because he changed it up instead of trying to just do what he was doing while a Journey band member. If you don't just want to be remembered as another tribute singer, changing the tunes up like this is a respectable option IMO.

It's a lot like watching a solid athlete past his prime... You can hear the soul, discern the talent, and understand where he came from, but he's a step slow. I'd still check Steve A out any time.

Very credible job. SA even goes for the sustained notes at the end of Faithfully. Sounds like a good show.

The one comment on that song is pretty cool.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
