I like the gratitude he's showing to the fans who have said nice things to him. I don't understand half of what goes on on his page but he sure gets a lot of love from the fans.

What is all this ranting? I've only seen some of it, because my H likes his page but I haven't done so, so he showed it to me (awhile back) and asked me if I knew what in hell he was going on about... I couldn't decipher the trouble, but of course, I probably missed the beginning. What's been hacked? His FB? It read like a high school kid threatening a bully but it was really non-sequitur so I couldn't puzzle it out.

I see this morning though that he's also having some squishy man-feelings for Steve Perry, so this could get interesting.

I hope Steve Perry NEVER goes back to Journey, if he comes out with a CD he will be more popular than this so called JOURNEY band.
Journey is a cover band now. I believe Jonathan said it himself the last CD did not do well, its time....

Seems Journey has somewhat touted those words to their detriment. Steve Perry is Journey and those other guys were his "supporting band." The "genious of Schon and Cain" has not created anything since Perry's departure. It was his voice and image that defined the band so as the band moved forward to destroy that, they have subsequently diminished themselves. Guess they are finally realizing that as their ventures since Perry left have continued to flop. Seemingly, they wanted to destroy what Perry helped them create with band by trying to cover over it with mocking, insulting karaoke. Van Halen, Genesis, AD/DC etc. get true artists, but that guitar player go on YT for bonafide karaoke.

The singer typically defines the band (Adam Levine) unless you have an EVH, Keith R, etc. so the Journey has no face now, just "DSB" for as long as that will last. Sony won't touch the karaoke lineup in destroying the Perry legacy and Walmart seems to have "dropped them like a hot potato." And, probably should not hold your breath while they await "writing for movies" or karaoke singing on a movie tune. The karaoke Journey needed to do big things to get from the shadow of Perry and/or turn into something real, but they seemed to have failed that test as they travel the roads of multiple package tours, casino and fairs. Unlike what they really needed to garner attention - like Bon Jovi cash " Bon Jovi ruled the world with $140m" (7/2013) that could ring loud for a coverband of Journey's sort, aside from hit music.

The guitary player is a bit pitiful, for he will do anything in efforts to garner some publicity. No one knows or cares about his FB or any of Schon's antic and his few fans. It only took about 2501 for his "The Calling" to hit BB 200, yet after 40 years in the business 'nada' as Steveo speaks of "his success."

Hopefully, Steve Perry never feels the need to go anywhere near those guys. The band along with Eric (Mr. "20kish") seem to be facing reality so maybe Gid should too.
