They opened for a country band.

Nice legacy there Neal.

Rascal Flatts is bigger than Journey in the current music scene. They are a contemporary act, whereas Journey is a legacy act.

Is that a fact?
Anyway, the reason I ask is that Journey opened
and closed their Crossroads show with RF in February.
Are we sure they opened? I can't find confirmation anywhere.

Journey/Rascal Flatts were co-headlining shows and I think Journey learned from the White Snake co-headlining tour. I was at the AC show and the venue was almost 50% empty at the end of the RF's set. Some people will leave early whether it's parking, baby sitters, traffic or it's just not their music. There were certainly a ton more fans after WS/Journey than Journey/RF. BTW. I was also at WS/Journey.

I would have loved to see have seen this show.
We complain about them not stepping out of their comfort zone and this is definitely contrary to that. Going on first in a show with a popular cross genre band.

So Flatts opened for Journey?

Dang, if it wasn't for that video you'd think the quietness on the Journey-board forefronts and the talk of retirement was right around the corner. They sound great here. Full of energy and chemistry. These guys still bring it, regardless of naysayers that come and go occasionally.

Co-Headlining means one band has to go first. Journey played first at the Journey/RF show. Smart move on their part, they played to a full house!
