I was hoping to attend this show but couldn't get off work in time.
My enthusiasm has dimmed since Feb. when I saw them last. It was a great show for the vanilla set list and Neal had everyone by their balls during the SSB.
But 2008's tour was probably my favorite. You had deeper cuts, 4 or 5 tunes from Revelation, and Deen and Arnel weren't the only ones exhibiting excitement. And the crowd was entranced.
Now they're just phoning it in, IMHO. And I'm disappointed by next year's touring partners, who seem incongruant with Journey's genre.
I'll still probably catch 'em one more time before retirement. My girlfriend wants VIP tickets and has her eyes set on one of Neal's guitars.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'
