Anyway, for those of you interested, today was the release of the DVD and it's in stock. $11.88

It's also on Amazon, but the Walmart version has 30 minutes of bonus content. Someone posted a pic of a Blu-Ray edition on Facebook. I don't know where to get that.

While I was there I noticed the most CD's in stock were Eclipse. There were about 7 verticle racks full, estimated at about 100.

It could, if they would just play some of the fucking songs in concert. I can't believe they would release an album and then just shit on it by not playing any of it's best songs live.

There are a few winners on that album - untapped gems.

Anyone find out where the Blu-Ray is available and how much it costs?

Does the Blu-Ray have any of the extras that the Walmart DVD does?

I would not buy this. Barely worth a rental. As sanitized as the VH1-BTM is, it was much more interesting to Journey fans. Best part of this documentary, is the backstage stuff with Cain helping Arnel warm up his pipes, and the brief historical retrospective on the band.

To each their own. I rather enjoyed it. I usually buy everything Journey, so this is just another one for my collection.

You guys talk like it's an album the band made. If you're a die-hard fan, I understand owning everything from the Tickner-era and beyond. This, on the other hand, is an independent documentary and not really a good one. But as Steve0 said, to each their own,

I put it in the same bucket as "Frontiers and Beyond" I guess...

it isn't like we all don't know the Arnel story already..

at least Frontiers and Beyond (when it came out) offered a serious peek "behind the scenes" at Journey and the breakup, which really hadn't been done before..

That is a good point...and the concert highlighted there is already a DVD of, whereas there is no DVD from the Frontiers tour period...

I went to two different Walmart's today, and neither one of them had the DVD. They didn't even know what the hell I was taking about when I asked if they had any copies in stock.
They did, however, have 50 copies of Eclipse on the shelves.

They both told me to try back next Tuesday for the DVD.

I saw it on the cable channel Epic, I think it was. I liked it too. Some great footage and insight stuff that I didn't know. It was a little bit bleached, but overall, I thought it was absolutely worth my time watching it.
