'Ghost' players in Frontiers?

Postby george_g » Wed Aug 28, 2013 1:50 am

The DSB multitracks have leaked on the net some time ago , and while hearing it with a friend we heard quite a lot mistakes in Valory's parts. Would that have any relation to Randy Jackson's ghost playing in Frontiers? Some have rumored also a similar case with keyboards on Frontiers....

NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

If there were 'mistakes' on the parts that were recorded, then they would have had someone in to rerecord the tracks before the recording was completed. To have a studio guy to come in and record parts would have been cheap. Neal could have probably played the parts, if needed. Having someone else record tracks uncredited happens all the time. Hell, Deen recorded all the drum parts for Hole's Celebrity Skin record and it went uncredited.

Perry wanted Randy Jackson on 'After the Fall' because he felt Ross was capturing the feel he wanted. Again, this is not uncommon.

You need to give us more to go on than that! Bass lines... I could understand. You don't get much better than JC on the keyboards. Who the hell did you hear this from? Post facts that we can debate.

LOL.... there weren't any ghost players..

For ROR - SP wanted Randy Jackson and Bob Glaub because he wanted more a more R&B sounding playing style and recording.. so firing Ross and hiring Randy Jackson and Bob Glaub was how tried to get it..

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
