Always thought 'Turn Down The World Tonight' should be a country duet...maybe Lady Antebellum-esque. Looking forward to see what JC does with this. Btw, always felt the same about 'After All These Years', but maybe with older classic country artists.

Considering how much of country has crossed over to a more pop rock sound than the traditional, I could hear a lot of Journey songs remade as 'country' tunes, in theory. I always thought Loved by You from Arrival would make a good country hit without much tweaking at all.

Very surprising there hasn't been more chatter here on this board about the revelations in this interview.

17:00 Love for Augeri and what really went down with his voice.
Then "Jeff Scott Soto wasn't the guy. We knew he wasn't the guy."
Then Steve Perry's "chronic condition" that keeps him from touring.

probably no one had listened to it yet.

re: Augeri......yuck.

re: JSS....something must have happened, otherwise you don't make him officially the lead singer. After touring with him for 6 months, they had to know his strengths, weaknesses, pet peeves, etc. It's not like he was an unknown quantity that they gambled on.

re: Perry....that could possibly explain some of the issues with the aborted FTLOSM tour. Some nights were very good, some good, at least one or two that should have been cancelled, then back to very good again within a couple of days. For a very consistent live singer, he was remarkably inconsistent on that tour.

very long interview ... Jon was really talkative, lol...
I thought Turn Down.... was the best song in that album... very Journeyesque.
I missed some of what they were saying about the song DSB...who did Jon say were the guy in the smoky room??
I don't want to go back and listen to it again for an hour...always curious to learn little tidbits, though. Maybe someone here can tell me?

It is a load of shit that continues to stink even after so many years have passed...I mean for Christ's sake, at least give me the reason they let me go and not sugar coat the bullshit.

I dont think I can hold back much longer what I really felt about that camp, its now to the point where I am done sugar coating they're crap...anyway, vent over...until the next time...I have been touring with TSO, another organization that is as big as Journey in terms of business, and running (strong), if it were a discreprancy of my personality, I wouldnt have this job either. I dont shit on people...ever!

One of these days, you are going to have to convince TSO to switch the east coast and the west coast groups for a year. The east coast group puts on a great show, but it would be nice to get a change for once.

I mentioned in another thread about the podcast that it was the one thing that irked me about this interview. It was a douche statement and uncalled for. A lot of us felt that of all the post-Perry singers, you were the guy. His tone on this was as if "of course everyone knows..." No Jon, I don't think everyone knows. That was the thought that came to mind.
