Steve Augeri just keeps 'em coming. Great, good, mediocre, or somewhere in between - SA produces music how he wants it, when he wants to, and releases it on his own terms. You would think Journey would take note. Instead Jonathan Cain is fretting about album sales. I am going to purchase this. Will you?

EDIT: Just bought. Good tune. Augeri has a nice little album on his hands with all these singles.

I thought it was really good. Interesting how times have changed. A former Journey singer puts something out and nobody really talks about it.

So true. I have the latest album from Robert Fleischman's band and I enjoy it a lot, but again, nobody talking.

Agreed. It's bad enough that Journey Co. has done their best to airbrush Augeri out of existence (their official FB page only includes photos of Arnel and Perry). Even worse, the fans of the Augeri era have simply vanished. I guess the Arnel-lineup didn't hold their attention. That, or maybe they are now devoutly following REO, Styx, .38 Special, or some other craptastic band.

I have to admit that due to my age, the Augeri era is what really got me interested in Journey because they were the incarnation touring. I remember seeing the promos for Higher Place, and really liked the sound. Times and situations change, but I've always liked the guy's voice.

I'm still lurking about here... but you're right - I have been more interested in other music of late. Rush has been my craptastic band of choice - thought I certainly wouldn't call them that. Not wild about Tin Soldier, but still a very interested fan in what Augeri puts out. I miss that lineup - still have my Arrival-era autographed poster hanging up in the house.

Not related to the new single, but SA shared this on his FB page. Not much info on a project with Kee Marcello and a couple others called Underground.

Thanks for posting, Marco. Looks like there are samples on the page. I will def check those out. Anyone have info on the members of this band? Have they been involved w/ Frontiers projects? Andrew?

EDIT: Hold the phone - Donati? Sheehan? And a smoking hot cellist? Who brought this band together?

Some will complain, they always do, but Steve sounds very good (at least to me) in this recent clip from Puerto RIco. He looks to be playing with local artists and not his band.

Augeri - Be Good To Yourself 14. Def not the easiest song to do. Good to see SA confident enough to try one of the harder songs in the catalog.
