Thanks 4 posting. Neal mentions new Journey album near the end. Says he realizes the band won't make a dime on it, but wants new tunes out there.

The spirit of what most of us on here embraced when Journey reformed in '98 is still very much alive in Schon.

Great interview. Two things of interest... I love how he seems to struggle to remember the names of the guys in Bad English.
More importantly, a co-headlining tour with Santana and Journey!?!? That will be awesome. Gregg sitting in with both bands...etc. 8)

Yes. Out of Perry, Cain and Schon, Schon is the only one who seems interested in creating new songs.

Thank you Neal, please keep up the good work!!! :D

There are people that love to bash modern day Journey and claim that they're not that successful.
But here in Cleveland, there are big name bands from the 70's and 80's like Santana, Yes, Chicago, Pat Benatar, Night Ranger and many other big name bands that are playing 2000 seat venues, and in the mean time Journey are selling out at 20.000 seat venues in Cleveland.

My reason for mentioning that is that Santana are going to be playing a 2000 seat venue here in Cleveland this summer. And Journey are playing a 20.000 capacity venue here this summer.

It would sure benefit Neal, Gregg, Carlos and the rest of the Santana band to team up with Journey for that tour. Which would also be great for Neal and Greg to get to play with both bands. I'm sure that Neal would be up for doing two shows a night.
