A man from Mamaroneck, N.Y., left his dog inside a hot car parked outside a Journey and Steve Miller Band concert in upstate New York, authorities said.

State troopers found the dog, a poodle named Milo, locked inside a car parked at Bethel Woods in Bethel on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, police said. The windows were closed and the dog had no food and no water, police said. The troopers broke into the car, got Milo to safety, and left a note for the owner, police said.

After the show, Michael C. Star, the dog's owner, came to the State Police command center. Troopers charged him with failing to provide food or water to a confined animal and locking a companion animal in a vehicle during extreme temperatures.

Star is due in town court on June 30, police said.

Bethel Woods is a venue and musuem built on the site of the original 1969 Woodstock festival.

This! Absolutely this! My gawd, I hate people who do this. Leave your dog at home, FFS.
