Interesting how they don't even put Journey in Steve's bio. I guess in that world (Jazz), nobody cares. :evil:

I've been listening to her for a few years now. She's a very intense, lightning-fast Japanese piano player. Her stuff is all over the place - progressive, fusion, jazz, classical, pop. Very, very talented musician. Her and Smith will make a very interesting combination.

Being a former drummer for Journey probably wouldn't be a real selling point for a Hiromi fan.

She's one of the best and most interesting jazz keyboard players I've heard in the last decade. Not as much into her trio stuff, but her expanded band where she plays some electric keys along with piano is a fantastic blend of jazz, fusion, and prog-rock. Awesome stuff.
