Its not everyday I get one of my guitar heroes to shout out! I am beyond thrilled and honored to have Neal Schon be in Hired Gun - The Documentary Tomorrow is the big day!

I just don't really *get* Neal musically anymore. Alot of his playing is just sloppy noise. Bring back the days of Beyond the Thunder or Late Nite or even Electric World. Where's the focus?

Sounds OK to me, I'm in! I hope he gets someone to mix it right. That was a problem with So U, in my opinion. I'm also a bit apprehensive of Schon and Hammer collaborating since I think they love each other too much to be critical and craft really great tunes (It's about quality not quantity, Neal ). I'll end up buying it anyway, but I hope its great this time!

NS answered a question on his FB ...when does vortex come out ?

Neal Schon - Planning on a Aug release
Will be a 4 Vinyl box set and double CD with tonz of pictures to go with the 18 songs

Neal Schon Vortex coming in May

So, it's coming out in May now? If so, that's awesome. It pissed me off that it wasn't going to come out until August.

Funny thing, a couple of nights ago I had a dream that they were passing Neal's Vortex album out for free to customers at Wendy's.

It was basically that in the dream. Buy something like chili or a burger and get a free Neal Schon Vortex CD. Even in the dream I was thinking "Wow, this is really insulting to Schon."

Bravo to Neal for still having the creativity and energy to put out more music!

Has there been an exact date announced yet for Vortex's release? Is it listed for order on Amazon or any other sites yet?
