I did another random search this time about Ross and found out that he and Prairie Prince are in business together :D . They sell kids hoodies that when you cross the arms they look like dinosaurs or dragons or monsters. I wouldn't have thought much of it except I've seen some kids wearing the hoodies. I thought they were clever the first time I saw them. But didn't know famous people had anything to do with them.

30 years ago our head honcho, Ross Valory had a vision.

One day, on a short break from touring, Ross was visiting some friends in Arizona, sipping coffee, hanging out and enjoying the antics of his friends' kids as they were tearing around the house doing something they referred to as the "JAWS."

According to Ross, it was very cute how they were running around the house in a single line, hugging their shoulders while "chomping" at each other with their elbows, giggling and "rrawwring" and putting on quite the show! He tucked that playful thought away, as he went on with the important business of being the bassist for the legendary American rock band "Journey."

In fact he is one of the two original founding members of the iconic band, formed in San Francisco back in the mid 70's.

So while Ross was very busy being a successful rock star… that cute image of the chomping kids bounced around in his head for 20 years -- until one day something clicked -- he "hugged himself" in the same fashion as those kids years ago, and thought... "how cool would it be to create shirts that would let you actually become the animal you are pretending to be! A shirt with graphics on the sleeves that would present a giant mouth when the wearer wraps their arms around themselves!"

Ross soon enlisted artist and fellow rock star friend, "The Tubes" drummer Prairie Prince, and the duo created the first 3 beautiful airbrushed designs finally bringing the animated apparel concept to life!

And then I saw this on You Tube. I had no idea that Steve Augeri fronts Hugo's former band Valentine now  . But its true. Almost everyone who was in Valentine is now in the Steve Augeri Band. So did Steve Augeri poach them or what?

Anyone else think that photo of Adam Holland is a deliberate attempt to channel Schon? It's like the guys Dennis DeYoung tours with now that are dead ringers for JY and Tommy. It's kinda of creepy. Anyway, Augeri sounds good on this new track. Though the band sounds a little too Bad English for my taste. A dated sound - especially those keys.

If any of you remember Wavid from Back Talk (He used to do a lot of re-imagined cover art along with Christopher and a couple others) he has been in business with Ross for years. Started with Website design for Ross' official site as well as cover art for the re-release of the VU CD and continued with this company. I got to meet Wavid many years ago and he is such a good guy. I am glad Mouthman is doing well, for his sake.

Ross spoke about his upcoming apparel project in an old interview.

Sounds like a good song title.
Haha….so that's what's going on.
I am also in business with Prairie Prince for a certain kind of apparel. Let me think…what can I say – when you put this piece of apparel on, you become the animal that it represents.
It's not a picture of an animal on your shirt – you become the beast – that's all I can say without you signing a non-disclosure agreement.
If I told you any more I'd have to kill you.

And he also said this about the music available on his site.

That's a great record.
His product is being shipped as we speak – Staring At The Sun will be appearing on the store.
Then there is Todd Tundgren 'Second Wind' – I am going to approach Todd, this is a hopeful – that album was forced upon him by Warner Bros.
They insisted that he given them his final album of the contract, even though he knew and they knew they were going to throw it away.
So he said 'you know what…I'm going to give them more than they ever expected'. And sure enough, it went by the wayside, but I'm going to try and get that for my website release.
I am hopeful for The Storm also.

Neither he nor Gregg Rolie have The Storm's music on their websites. And you can't get Gregg's first solo album either. It's one thing not to have physcial copies to sell. But how come it's not available as mp3s? Oh and Gregg Rolie's website has been updated.

Adam has a froish hair-style similar to Schon and his facial features also share a similarity. Do I think Adam is deliberately trying to be a Schon clone? Doubtful..

"Faces" is one of the best new solo tunes from SA. Since going solo, SA has consistently put out new singles. Some good, some bad, some offbeat, but I have to hand it to him for not resting on his laurels.

Hugo & Valentine had separated at the time, I believe. Forget the details.

This is what Adam Holland has to say about his collaboration with Steve Augeri.

2005-2008: Adam was invited to join Journey tribute band – Evolution founded by Valentine Open Skyz singer, Hugo. Getting the itch to perform again, he accepted the offer. This tribute band went on to achieve national success and performed all across America, including post shows for the broadway hit Rock Of Ages. Together with Hugo once again, fans sought out Valentine and the band was invited to perform at FireFest in Nottingham England, where they received an overwhelming reponse and produced a live DVD. The band returned to Firefest for a second time as well.

2009 – Present: Adam joined forces with former Journey lead vocalist, Steve Augeri after the two crossed paths over the course of several years (both toured with Mr. Big in 1994, Tall Stories and Open Skyz). Sharing many common associations and a passion for live performance, Steve Adam and his old friends and Valentine members Gerard Zappa, Craig Pullman and Mike Morales formed the Steve Augeri Band which currently tours world wide.
