Thursday and Friday will find Carlos and Rolie sharing the stage with their former Santana bandmate Neal Schon when they play co-headline shows with Journey in Guadalajara and Mexico City. Rolie and Schon left Santana to form Journey in 1973.

Carlos Santana's website had this to say about these special shows, "We are proud to announce that Gregg Rolie will be joining Carlos and the Band on stage for 4 very special shows in Mexico this month.

"He will perform with Carlos and the Band in Monterrey, MX, Cumbre Tajin Festival and at 2 special co-headline events with Journey in Guadalajara and Mexico City."

3/23 - Cumbre Tajin Festival: Parque Takilhsukut, Veracruz, Mexico
3/26 - VFG Arena, Guadalajara, Mexico With Journey
3/27 - Sports Palace, Mexico City, Mexico With Journey

ACKKKK!!!!! Why is this in Mexico? It may be spring break, but I'm nowhere near Mexico! WAHHHHH, it sucks to be broke. First Journey was on Carinval Cruises and now they're in Mexico with Gregg Rolie. Will Gregg be onstage for the entire show or just the encores? Will he do his early Journey solos or just the duets? Could he sing with both Arnel AND Deen? Anyone here going to the shows? Someone better post a video online.

I went on a cruise last year (missed Steve Perry at the Vatican by a week or 2). So not going on a cruise this year. Don't normally go on Carinval (more of a Norweigan/Royal Caribbean family). Not going on any big vacations. Will miss Journey this concert (actually I've never seen Journey in concert- was too young at the height of their popularity). They should video and put it on DVD. And I am on spring break now and Journey was in the area ( a few counties over) recently.

And is it that easy to get Gregg Rolie to sing with Santana and Journey? Just page Dr. Rolie

I did read somewhere think it was Journey was going to record and make a DVD of one of these.
OK now I'm gonna have to go look...ughhhhhhhhhhh

Sorry It's the Hollywood Bowl ...

Journey's future might not have any new recorded material in it any time soon, but it doesn't mean that the band isn't looking for new ways to repackage its hits. "The next thing that we're looking at doing is something with the symphony, Hollywood Bowl has a concert coming up, and it should be a really interesting concert with a 100-piece orchestra. So we're kinda do a symphonic DVD that will hopefully will turn out good and be good enough to be our next release," revealed Cain, hinting that it might have the crossover appeal of Metallica's S&M, adding, "Certainly the music lends itself to being orchestral."

Just saw Carlos Santana on the big interview last week. Interesting interview. Would be awesome to see him Greg Rosie and Neal together
