Disappointed to see that not one single song from Arrival was played during Journey's residency in Las Vegas. Weren't they talking about reviving some of that material last year? Arrival is probably the most "21st century" of all of their post-Perry releases.

Journey means the legacy Perry era, and the current singer era. This seems to me how the band sees it.

The Arnel lineup has played "Higher Place." Not in Vegas, but it has been played.

And of course they play "Faith in the Heartland" from time to time (not Arrival, but still an Augeri-era tune). They probably figure there are fewer "real" fans at in Vegas. It's mostly tourists who are selecting entertainment options the way they would entrees on a dinner menu. Most people probably walk into that room thinking they're still going to see Perry.

Yea, but its also an Arnel era tune on Revelation. So that doesn't count.

Shame...Arrival and Generation both have some really good songs on them. Arrival still holds strong today. Generations has slipped down my list some.

I think Arrival was a more solid release, but some of the songs of Generations like both of Deen's and Augeri's Knowing that you love me are so much better performance wise than anything on Arrival. I think knowing that you love me was Augeri's finest moment with Journey but I sort of wish Deen had been the Arrival singer as well as most of Generations.
